Why start a blog?

Hello everyone!

My name is Kalli Charles, I am 17 years old, and I am a daughter and avid follower of Jesus Christ. Even though I’m only a teenager, I have gone through countless hardships and struggles throughout my life.

Life has not been easy.

However, these situations have taught me more than any teacher, book, sermon or podcast ever could; they have reminded me how I must hope in the plan God has for my life, especially in times of confusion and doubt. They have reminded me that I must wholeheartedly trust in him, even when I’m fearful and discouraged. They have reminded me that without him, I am nothing, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy his unconditional grace and share his everlasting glory.

As I grow older, I understand the gravity of the truth and wisdom I have received from God through these circumstances, and I no longer want to keep this valuable information and advice to myself.

I’m starting a blog!

I want to share with friends, family, and anyone who stumbles upon my website, the lessons I have learned (and the ones I will most certainly learn in the future) from what I have experienced in my life. With Abound and Abide, I hope that God will use me to be a light in the midst of our dark world; to share the gospel and to spread God’s love.

Leaving my website, I hope that you can begin—or continue—to abound in hope and abide in love in your life, as I believe God has called me to do in mine.

1 Corinthians 13:13  “And now abide in faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.”

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the holy spirit you may abound in hope.”
